Employee Spotlight: Aubrey King

Our team members at Colonial Family Practice are our pride and joy! We realize that our work is a reflection of who we are as individuals, and our success is a direct result of all the different personalities, passions and talents that our employees bring to the table. Each week you’ll have a chance to meet the people who make Colonial such a success featured in our Employee Spotlight segment.

This week, get to know Aubrey King, Call Center Personnel, who has been a very valuable asset to our team since her start at Colonial.

A little about Aubrey…
“My family consists of myself, my fiancĂ© Gerard, my dog Allie, and two cats, Godric and Rambo. We are very busy from day to day but we always seem to find time for each other. I work at CFP full time and attend school at Central Carolina Technical College, working toward my associate’s degree in Nursing. My fiancĂ© attends school at Francis Marion University as a full time student working toward his bachelor’s degree in Business Management. Our animals enjoy being lazy without any care in the world!”
What TV show or movie are you ashamed to admit you love?
“Shhh… Vampire Diaries”
If you go back, what advice would you give to your 18-year-old self?
“Listen to adults! They are always right and know what they are talking about because they have already lived and learned”
Describe your most rewarding moment at CFP.
“Every day is rewarding for me at CFP! I enjoy helping people and I have the privilege of doing it every day when patients call in needing things, whether it is an appointment or general questions.”
What is your most embarrassing moment at CFP (or in general)?
“When I walked downstairs with my headset still on”
What do you do at CFP?
“You could say I’m a jack of all trades, but in a nutshell, I work in the appointments department answering phones and addressing the patients’ needs to the best of my knowledge. If I’m unable to help them or answer a certain question, I will find someone that can help!”
If you were on death row, what would your last meal be?
An all you can eat buffet, and when they ask me if I’m finished, I will take another and say, “No, my meal never ends because it’s all you can eat!”
If you could have any super power, what would it be and why?
“I would like to have the ability to time travel because I could back and relive different memories with lost loved ones. If you think about it, time is the only thing that you cannot get back. You can manage it, remember it, but you can’t stop it. The clock keeps ticking and there isn’t anything you can do about it.”
If you could be any public figure (dead or alive) who would it be and why?
“Susan B. Anthony, because she fought for women’s rights and I would have loved to be a part of that”
List 3 fun facts about yourself.
1)   I have lived in Georgia, Alabama, Florida, California, and now South Carolina
2)   I have 10 siblings, which include step, half and full
3)   I’ve never traveled outside the U.S.
